From Parkway South to Vis or St. Joe, St. Louis Prom night is usually a sea of long flowing gowns. Usually short dresses are worn at homecoming and other events. But fashion forward divas know that short is sexy and sassy. If you have great legs why not show them off in a flirty short dress?

Terani 95172 shown here in light blue is for the flower fanatic. This fun dress is soft and feminie. With the banded waistline you'll get that hour glass look that we all envy.

Jovani's hot pink and orange 14318, Faviana's violet and blue 6589 or their burgandy 6584 all have the flair shirt and chiffon layering. In a few short years you wouldn't be able to pull off this look. It's a combination of innocents, fun and flirty with undertones of sexy all rolled into one. At the 2010 Golden Globes awards, Fergie looks great in a lavender Elie Saab dress. What makes this dress look great is the beaded detail around the waist which gives most any figure an hour-glass look. Also, the material looks to be slightly gathered at the waist which creates soft pleating. 

A similar look can be achieved with La Femme’s 15225 or  15081. Both of theses options have details at the waist. The blue 15225 has the same soft pleating as Fergie's as well. Additional options are Dancing with the Stars 15128 shown here in royal blue. This dress has details at the waist and looks to be gathered slightly at the waist allowing the material to drape softly. The cutout dip around the top of the bodice makes it slightly different than Fergie's, but gives this dress it's unique flare.

Gigi's 15188 in sky blue takes the attention detail at the waist to a new level. Besides the bling, the dress is cutout at the waist and gathered at the center. Another added feature is the slit that goes up to mid thigh.  A bit daring, this dress is great if you're tall with great muscle tone.
